2010: The Second Odyssey by Arthur C. Clark: Book Review

2010: The Second Odyssey by Arthur C. Clark is a followup to 2001 A Space Odyssey one of the most iconic books in modern science fiction.

I found this to be a lesser followup to Clark's master work lacking the unique nature of the first book with a lesser use of characters. the story is less believable and  the writing drops off about a quarter of the way through.
This being the second installment in what is a four book cerise I would have hoped for new mysteries rather than just the same level of understanding but the book was a good enough read for me to get through it three times.

2010 did not match the power of it's first novel but was worth my time.

Who should read this book: Fans of the first novel and Sci Fi geeks.

Total books read: 8 of 5,000

Pages: 335

Total pages read for 'The 5,000 Project': 1797
