This is a collection of my writing and correspondence with a few bits of poetry and random thoughts mixed in. I started this blog after learning that some of my letters had an uplifting quality.
In the pages of this blog you will find my real life trials and tribulations, the nature of what I think is truth, and the dust and grit of my real life.
"In a People House" by Dr. Seuss is the story of a rodent and a bird
who adventure into a human habitation to explore the things humans have. This is a learning book for children who will read this book and get examples of what humans have in their home. Very young children may learn the names of basic object from reading this book. However, this is not the artwork of Dr. Seuss and is written under his other pen name, Theo LeSieg, with illustrations by Roy McKie. Who should read this book? Children who need to learn basic object names. Books read 200 of 5000
"And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street" by Dr. Seuss
is the story of a boy who invents great sights to tell stories to his father. This is a book with human figures and fantastic beasts with images that can only be Seuss.
But still this is a cautionary tail about the truth and how important it is. It's a book that tells people that making up stories will not necessarily get you what you want.
"One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish" by Dr. Seuss is one of
the master of children's books best known titles. This is a book that features counting and colors along with a general learning experience for the children wrapped in the Dr. Seuss stile. In addition, there are comparisons like fat and thin. Children love Dr. Seuss and I loved this book as a kid. I would think your child will spend a good many hours reading these fun pages until your book, like the one I had as a kid, turns to dust. Who should read this book? Everyone. Books read: 192 of 5000
The Bippolo Seed and Other Lost Stories By Dr. Seuss is a
collection of Seuss stories that appeared in magazines. The Bippalo Seed itself is the story of greed and teaches the lesson of not wanting too much. There are other stories to this book about not believing everything you are told, accepting what you can't change, following directions, and not bragging. Now, this falls into the category of the lesser known Seuss so the stories are fun but not iconic. However, Seuss's art has been successfully recovered and restored so that you would never know that these stories had to be recovered from older archives that were of less than perfect quality. Who should read this book? Dr. Seuss fans.
'Horton Hatches the Egg' by Dr. Seuss is a classic from the master
of keeping your child's interest Dr. Seuss. It is the story told in rhyme of a bird that tricks and elephant to sit on it's egg. This is the classic story of hard work paying off which is neither here nor there now days in our world of work not paying off. However, this is a book that ends well and makes you feel that all is right with the world. This is not one of those books you just need to read to your child but it is one that you should because it's one of the best children's books ever written. There are higher ranking Seuss books, but you can't go wrong with this one. Who should read this book? Everyone.
